Many people believe that unless you are in tip-top shape, you cannot get life insurance. This is absolutely not true. If you have phobias about trying to get life insurance, or filling out the application sends you into a full-blown panic attack, take deep breaths, call your insurance agent and start the policy anyway. You can get life insurance even if your eyes are swollen with pink eye or your legs were stricken by polio. Even prostate cancer won’t prevent you from getting the protection your family needs. And they do need it. If something happened to you, how would your family pay for the house? Pay for college? Would they have enough money to go on without you, or would you loss be compounded by the loss of everything else? Do you want to leave your family in such a precarious position because you *thought* you couldn’t get coverage? Of course not!
So, even if your h ands are shaky from Parkinson’s Disease, please find a way to protect your family’s future. Get life insurance. You’ll have more peace of mind, and your family will know you took care of them. The fact is, death is an eventuality of life, so you might as well prepare for it. As Tim McGraw sang, “Live like you were dying”…
But prepare for it first.
