He died in his sleep during one of his annual Doctors Without Borders trips to Ecuador where he and other colleagues from Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center provided medical care to people who would otherwise not receive it. A strong proponent of the protection it afforded, David’s life insurance policy has allowed Sarah to remain at home to raise their children without any financial burdens to the family.
